I love a good bargain just as much as the next chica. Who am I kidding–with six kids, a bargain is a necessity in life.
But I love to make my home look unique and beautiful as well, so I’m always looking for ways to add a special touch of flava to the things I own. Very few things come through these doors that don’t need to be sanded, taped, stenciled and/or painted. If I could just show you my pile of “to-do” projects. Frames, dressers, side tables, chairs–my goodie pile just keeps growing and growing, especially when you have a mom that likes to bargain hunt like I do.

She bought me this really cool lamp from Target and the price was too good to pass up. The downside, it was about as plain as a bowl of oatmeal. I mean, beige? With beige burlap? You don’t get more basic than that. The lampshade was practically begging for some diy action.
