Pearmama is in full gratitude for the painting titled “Mother’s Milk” being acquired by Altamed Art Collection, one of the largest collectors of Chicano Art in the world. We’d like to thank Chicana artist Yolanda Gonzalez and Susana Smith Bautista for facilitating this acquisition.
Mother’s Milk was shown at Interconnected: Ancestral Environments | SUR: Biennial Group Exhibition at Rio Hondo College Art Gallery in 2023.
The artist is thrilled to announce the acquisition of three works of art by renowned Chicano art collector Cheech Marin in August 2023. We appreciate Marin’s generous support of Denise and her work + his continued support of femme Chicano/a/x artists. In addition to Cheech, we would also like to thank Maria Esther Fernandez, Artistic Director of The Cheech and Melissa Richardson Banks of CauseConnect for facilitating this acquisition.
